This past weekend I was lucky enough to be asked to take part in the forth instalment of BLAM!

BLAM! is an art show that features Winnipeg’s comic/pop culture/sci-fi and horror artists.

I never considered myself one of these types of artists, but I’m very thankful I was asked to participate. At first I declined because as a full-time college student, I thought I didn’t have the time to finish a few paintings with less than a months time before the event. I surprised myself and finished three paintings.

I was inspired by the 1979 movie The Warriors for this one ⬆️. It is acrylic on canvas.

This next two I was obviously inspired by Pulp Fiction. I am a huge Tarantino fan, and I think it shows. These are both acrylic and ink. ⬇️

This was the first time I had ever been in any type of art show, and it was a scary but exciting experience. There was something very vulnerable, but also exhilarating about letting people see something you worked hours on. I’m already looking forward to BLAM! next year.

All of these paintings are for sale if anyone is interested. Please contact me on any of my social media accounts if you would like to inquire.
